  • I tried to install my product on my Mac with a wireless connection, but the installation failed. What should I do?

     

    Reset your Product's Network Settings

    Disable the Firewall

      You'll need to set up your software and product again. Do the following:
      1. Reset the product's Wi-Fi settings on the product's control panel by doing the following:

        Press the  home button, if necessary. Select Setup > Restore Default Settings > Network Settings > Yes, then press OK.

      2. If you're unable to complete the instructions above, contact JOYUSING. Otherwise go to the next section.
      1. Open the  menu and select System Preferences, then click either Security & Privacy or Security.
      2. Select the Firewall tab and disable the firewall.

        If you have other firewall software enabled, you'll also need to disable it. If you don't know how to disable it, contact your firewall provider for help.

        Note: This step is needed to install the product's software and complete the Wi-Fi setup. Remember to enable your firewall software after you complete the Wi-Fi setup.

      3. If you're unable to complete the instructions above, contact JOYUSING. Otherwise go to the next section.
  • I tried installing my product's software using a USB connection but cannot complete the installation in Windows or on my Mac. What should I do?

     

    Before reinstalling the software, check for the following:

      Disconnect the USB cable and uninstall the product software, then reinstall the software.
      • Make sure the product is not connected to your computer. You must connect the product to your computer at the correct time to make sure the driver is installed correctly on your computer.
      • Make sure your system meets the requirements.
      • Make sure all applications (including any screen savers, virus protectors, and firewall software) are closed.
      • Make sure you have administrative rights or software installation privileges to your computer, if necessary.
  • How do I turn off JOYUSING Status Monitor in Windows?

     

      Do the following:
      1. Do one of the following:
        • Windows 8.x: Navigate to the Apps screen and select Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers. Right-click your printer and select Printing Preferences.
        • Windows 7: Click  and select Devices and Printers. Right-click your printer and select Printing Preferences.
        • Windows Vista: Click  and select Control Panel (or point to Settings and then select Control Panel). Select Printer (under Hardware and Sound) or Printers. Right-click your printer and select Printing Preferences.
        • Windows XP: Click Start and select Control Panel (or point to Settings and then select Control Panel). Select Printers and Other Hardware (if available) and then Printers and Faxes. Right-click your printer and select Printing Preferences.
      2. Click the Maintenance tab.
      3. Click Extended Settings.
      4. Deselect Enable JOYUSING Status Monitor 3.
      5. Click OK as necessary to save your settings.
  • How do I set default print settings when I print from Windows or my Mac?

     

    Windows

      When you change your print settings from within a program, the changes apply only while you're printing with the program open. If you want to select different settings to use in all your programs, you can change the default print settings in Windows or save a preset of printer options on Mac. Follow the steps below for your operating system.
      1. Do one of the following:

         

        • Windows 8.x: Navigate to the Apps screen and select Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers. Right-click your printer and select Printing Preferences.
        • Windows 7: Click  and select Devices and Printers. Right-click your printer and select Printing Preferences.
        • Windows Vista: Click  and select Control Panel (or point to Settings and then select Control Panel). Select Printer (under Hardware and Sound) or Printers. Right-click your printer and select Printing Preferences.
        • Windows XP: Click Start and select Control Panel (or point to Settings and then select Control Panel). Select Printers and Other Hardware (if available) and then Printers and Faxes. Right-click your printer and select Printing Preferences.
